Wind Turbine Farm, Gilboa
The wind turbine farms on the Gilboa and Ramat Sirin, set up by the Afcon Group, are part of a pioneering and innovative project for generating electricity from green energy. These modern wind farms produce electricity from wind energy through 25 turbines (14 at the Ma’ale Gilboa Site and 11 at the Ramat Sirin Site) that stand 44 meters high. Combined, they generate a total of about 22MW of clean green electricity. The set-up process began in 2015. This complex, challenging engineering project entailed cutting edge technology from the field of renewable energy. The farms were connected to the national electricity network in 2016. The projects were executed through a joint effort of most of the Group’s subsidiaries, led by our EPC Energy experts who specialize in planning and executing complex energy and infrastructure projects.
Dalia Power Station, Tel Tzafit
Constructing steel and concrete structures at the Dalia Power Station as a BOT project.
Electrification Project, Israel Railways
This electrification project is Israel Railway’s flagship project of this decade. The aim of the project was to enable the powering of trains using electricity instead of diesel, in order to meet the growing demand for train services in Israel. As part of the project, Afcon built and operates about 14 train transformer stations that connect the railway tracks to electricity. Works included construction work, installation and operating of gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear (GIS), and connecting the system to the Israel Electric Company’s national network, as well as installing and connecting 45 Mva power transformers to low voltage boards. The Group also installed protection and command boards for both Israel Railways and the Israel Electric Company. The project also included the installing of controlled air conditioning systems, fire detection systems, and plumbing.
South Port, Ashdod
A planning and execution project. A successful cooperation between the Afcon Group and Shafir Civil and Marine Engineering led to the winning of this tender, for setting up a significant part of the new South Port in Ashdod. As part of this project, Afcon planned and set up all electric infrastructure and supporting structures in the port for the Swiss TIL company. Choosing Afcon highlights the Group’s leadership in the field of electric infrastructure in Israel. The cooperation and excellent integration of most of the Group’s subsidiaries – in executing such a complex and integrated project – enabled high quality professional planning and execution solutions, with an emphasis on safety and schedules.

Energy Storage Farm, Dalia Energies Power Station (EPC)
A project for planning and executing the largest energy storage farm in Israel, with a capacity of 16/88MWh. Afcon Holdings is a pioneer in Israel, having set up the first facility for high voltage battery storage. Afcon won the tender held by Dalia Energies to set up a large-scale energy storage facility on the power station’s land, adjacent to Kfar Menahem. This energy storage facility is based on LFP batteries with a capacity of 88MWh. Set up in 2022, this is the largest storage facility in Israel. The project conveys Afcon’s dominance in conducting such projects and introducing innovative technologies in the field of renewable energy. The entire project was planned and executed by the Group’s subsidiaries, led by EPC Energy experts, who specialize in the planning and execution of complex infrastructure and energy projects.
Global Tower, Petah Tikva
Located in Petah Tikva, this complex includes commercial spaces, an office building, and underground carparks, covering 110,000 SQM, Afcon executed the skeletal work, finishing works, and a range of cutting-edge systems. The project was conducted in cooperation with the BST Group for construction and development.
