IoT Monitoring Systems for Smart Water Network
Afcon delivers cutting-edge technologies for monitoring a range of water and wastewater parameters, and operates IoT systems for numerous water corporations, including in Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Holon, Modiin, Haifa, and Hod HaSharon. These systems mainly deal with water quality and wastewater levels. Water quality capabilities include measurements every few minutes, anywhere, anytime – regardless of energy, providing consistent independent water measurements. The data is constantly sent to the control center, enabling users to continuously track the data, to prevent health hazards.
These systems enable the monitoring of wastewater levels in underground septic and wastewater tanks, as well as water pressure in the pipes. The system sends alerts, warning of possible sewage spillage, rainwater drainage, and any deviation in water pressure – preventing health hazards. By conducting preventive maintenance rather than treatment, customers benefit from huge savings in time and money.
Remote Water Meter Reading Systems
Leaders in the field of water technologies, Afcon cooperates with a number of leading manufacturers in the field, providing quality solutions for creating open charge point protocol (OCPP) monitoring centers, and supplying different sized meters that contain NB-IoT and LORA radio frequency (RF) modules. The reception percentages in the water meter kits that Afcon supplies are extremely high, consistently reaching almost 100% – thanks to the large transmission range. All water meters comply with strict international standards and regulations.

Wind Turbine Farm, Gilboa
The wind turbine farms on the Gilboa and Ramat Sirin, set up by the Afcon Group, are part of a pioneering and innovative project for generating electricity from green energy. These modern wind farms produce electricity from wind energy through 25 turbines (14 at the Ma’ale Gilboa Site and 11 at the Ramat Sirin Site) that stand 44 meters high. Combined, they generate a total of about 22MW of clean green electricity. The set-up process began in 2015. This complex, challenging engineering project entailed cutting edge technology from the field of renewable energy. The farms were connected to the national electricity network in 2016. The projects were executed through a joint effort of most of the Group’s subsidiaries, led by our EPC Energy experts who specialize in planning and executing complex energy and infrastructure projects.
