Afcon Electric Transportation
Afcon Electric Transportation, a subsidiary of the Afcon Group, was established in 2018, after identifying the significant growth potential of the electric vehicle industry. The company, a leader in providing electric charging solutions, was the first to set up ultra-fast charging stations in Israel.
Today, Afcon Electric Transportation runs the largest chain of public charging stations in Israel, with more than 800 fast, ultra-fast, and AC charging plugs. The company sells and installs charging docks for private and corporate use, in both residential and commercial areas, and plans and executes large-scale projects in the field of electric charging – including Tesla Supercharger stations, bus charging stations, and more than 50 charging stations for the Lubinski Group, electrification of vehicle fleets, and more.
Afcon Electric Transportation strives to continuously provide electric-vehicle drivers with comprehensive solutions for all their needs, while leading the market to the next innovative development. In 2022, the company entered a partnership with ZOOZ, to provide integrated solutions for energy storage, while supplying charging facilities for electric vehicles in areas with inadequate electricity infrastructure. That is how Afcon signed a contract with Dor Alon for setting up a fast, nationwide charging operation.
In 2021, the company became licensed by the Israel Electricity Authority for supplying electricity for a range of purposes. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, electricity-based ignition decreases CO2 greenhouse gas emission by half and completely eliminates CH4 and N20 exhaust emission, compared to fuel-based ignition. As such, in addition to serving as one of Afcon’s main growth engines, Afcon Electric Transportation also plays a key role in realizing Afcon’s vision for enhancing sustainability.
