Afcon was ahead of its time, setting up modern wind turbines, leading the way to realizing the value of sustainability in Israel.

Afcon continued executing its vision of sustainability, creating additional value through entrepreneurs in the field of renewable energy. In 2020, the Group set up a new subsidiary, Afcon Renewable Energy, that specializes in initiating, developing, funding, establishing, managing, and operating projects in the field of electricity generation using renewable energy sources.

This subsidiary is in charge of a range of projects, in various stages, in Poland, Italy, Spain, and Israel, and maintains strategic partnerships with institutional bodies aimed at investing in projects in Europe. The company’s senior team has vast experience in initiating and managing complex, large-scale projects, having successfully executed projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure, engineering, and funding.

In today’s world, where renewable energy comprises an increasing portion of all generated energy, the company’s experience and expertise in the field of energy, combined with the Afcon Group’s setup, funding, and operational capabilities, have positioned Afcon as a leading initiator in local and international markets. Afcon Water Technologies

Afcon Water Technologies delivers a wide range of hybrid systems and technological solutions for dealing with water and wastewater. The company provides unique solutions that enable optimal data collection and presentation, ensuring that the right data is delivered at the right time, regarding water supply, water quality, sewage levels, pipe pressure, and other crucial measures – thereby enhancing efficiency, safety, and security, as well as savings in maintenance, manpower, and energy costs.

By placing an emphasis on technological efficiency, Afcon solutions also ensure increased safety and security, fast ROI, and last but not least – a greener future. That is why the company provides a variety of integrated solutions and services for enhancing the efficiency of water systems, including water meter readings, IoT monitoring systems for collecting data from the field, control and communication systems, anti-hacking security systems, fire detection and extinguishing capabilities, and energy management. As part of the Division’s activities, Afcon provides solutions for municipal water corporations across Israel, with about 250 thousand water meters already having been deployed throughout the country – based on remote, cutting-edge water meter reading technologies. This includes installing water meters in each town, deploying radio communication networks for receiving information from all meters, transferring data to the server, processing and analyzing the gathered data, issuing reports and alerts for the water corporation, and providing support and maintenance services after installation.
